brett, i disagree with the spring been a return spring, if you were to take it off and attempt to put it back on, you will noticed it is basicly impossible to do with the clutch pedal all the way up / not depressed. if you were to depress the pedal all the way down, you will noticed the spring doesn't have to be stretch as much for you to put it back in. also on 06 service manual page 7-336. Mine works ok but once every ten times or so it won't return and occasional when it's fully depressed the clutch is dragging so you have to turn the engine off to get it out of gear it's looking like shave cylinder.
