Accessibility: Campers with mobility impairments should request these sites when obtaining a permit. Stockton Island - Campsite #1 at Presque Isle campground, and group sites A & B at Quarry Bay have accessible tent pads, picnic tables, fire rings, and bear proof boxes. A boardwalk leads from the Quarry Bay dock to the group campsites, and from the dock forming the west side of the Presque. Camping Permits. Camping permits and fees are required for all camping in the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. The permit system allows campers to reserve campsites in advance. Each permit is good for up to 14 consecutive nights of camping. Camping permits are non-transferable Stockton Island Overnight Camping Shuttle. This trip has been canceled for the 2021 season.
